Of all the jobs I’ve had, this is the one I enjoy the most.

Piloting a helicopter has been a dream of mine since I was a kid. I was around 14 years old when I first rode in a helicopter. I still remember that day vividly. My best friend and I were at an Air Show one summer’s day and we went on one of the whirlwind 6-minute scenic flights. I was instantly hooked.

Fast forward to 1997. I was working in software development. I had a great job, good money, doing well. All was good, except for the fact that I really wanted to be somewhere else. After careful consideration (and a big loan) I signed up for helicopter training. For awhile I thought my cheese had slid off my cracker… what was I doing?!?!?

Now I’ve been flying on a full time basis for a handful of years… and I still enjoy it. There is nothing like flying on a really nice day; the sun is shining and you’ve got the best office view there is.
I went out and did it…
… and now I’m ‘Living the Dream’ (my dream, anyway).
