Gaming, Scotch & Bread

My best friend Barry (aka George) came down on Sunday for a few days of gaming and scotch drinking.  We enjoyed ourselves as we always do, despite some connectivity issues with our most recent game purchase, Red Alert 3 (you would think gaming companies would test this stuff a little more thoroughly).

Additionally, I asked Barry to bring down some products from their bakery and Shnewt was trusting enough to lend me his sweet Canon EOS 5D DSLR camera.  Wow… What a great camera.  It’s got more features than you can imagine, takes fantastic shots and, best of all, my old Canon 100mm macro lens bolts right in and works great.  I just hope it is waterproof  ‘cuz I’m constantly drooling all over it.

Now I just have to find a way to keep it a little longer… like for eternity.

I think the solution you’re looking for is called “money.” Money can be exchanged for goods and services. :)

What you forgot to mention was that Barry left all the “product materials” behind. We now have a fridge and freezer filled with very yummy and calorie filled food that we just have to eat…. before it goes bad.

dude, nice shots! they look great.

I may need the camera back for Saturday evening. We’re going to a Robbie Burns haggas dinner and Rachel wants it photographed… not sure why though.

Oh man, it sounds like a good time, baked goods, liquor, and video games. What more is there really? I have camera envy going too – it might be time to pick up a new one…

…and Burns Night might be an excuse for a tad more whiskey. The ‘old’ 5D is indeed good. I use one with Olympus OM Zuiko lenses sometimes; they bolt on with an adapter are great lenses but rather inexpensive on eBay ;-)
