I’m stuck up here in Ft. Simpson, NWT. What a ‘delightful’ place.
1 grocery store, 1 gas station and 2 restaurants… 1 of which is closed while the people are away on vacation.
Whoo-frickin-hoo.
And, to top it off, there is little flying.
Oh, and no internet at the crew house here… lovely.
This sucks.

good old fort simpson.. i lived there in about ’78.. okanagan was the base and there was a 206 based there.. the pad was wooden in front of a fabric hangar… with the old hummingbird logo instead of the “h”… the sub-arctic was one of the restaurants… lots of memories there for me!!!
Dude, not sure if anyone has told you but Alberta is BURNING!!!! We have 3 machines on fires in La Biche alone right now-and of course I am not one of them. Not flying much eh?! Well hopefully it will come around up there. Take some shots of the scenery for me, I had a couple instructors that said that its beautiful up there. I am off to the range for Sunday and Monday and then out doing cathodic surveys for TCP for the rest of the week. And no I am not rubbing in that I am busy, I would trade with you in a heart beat. Have fun and call me when you get home if you can find the time with the move and all. On a funny note I finally got my new helmet and the ear phones don’t work-I guess that’s what $1800 gets you.
The earphones don’t work? The don’t check these things?
