And So It Begins…

Tomorrow I start, in earnest, to find suitable accommodations for June 1.

We’re looking to move closer to Van in order to cut down SunSwan’s hellish commute (2 hours one way). I don’t know how she does it. I would have snapped long ago.

Anyway, it’s really going to be a shame to have to give up this apartment. You never know how well you’ve got it until you’ve handed over your 30-day notice and browsed the rental ads. Yikes, it’s expensive out there.

We drove around the West End on Sunday, jotting down numbers and previewing places. It’s crazy. One place, a 50+ year old 3 floor all stairs kind joint, wanted $1800 for a 1 bedroom. No in-suite laundry… no parking even… just nuts.

So, if anyone’s got a line on an apartment (1 or 2 bd, preferably with in-suite laundry) in Burnaby, East Van or North Van, PLEASE drop me a line.

Oh yeah, they must accept a cat.
