Slinging - A Pilot’s Perspective

Posted by Rotorboy under: Work .

If you don’t fly helicopters, you’ll probably be wondering what you’re looking at. This video shows what it’s like to long-line from the pilot’s view, down the vertical reference window of an A-Star.

The quality isn’t phenomenal, but it gives you an idea.

Very cool, looks like it would be very difficult. How do you know if your far enough away from the trees, the ground etc….

Looks like you are getting the hang of this long line thing :-)
First few times almost feels like you are learning to fly again.

Have a good season.

The other day I saw a young guy waiting for a bus on Davie while sporting a short skirt, black nylons and some white heels. For the love of God man, either get some white nylons or some black heels. — midbach
