I didn’t have a very spectacular day (for alot of reasons) but at least the weather was good; clear skies and bright sunshine with a high of -4°C.
Work hasn’t been all that busy but rarely is it very busy this time of year unless you’re a ski pilot or slinging bags on seismic (neither of which I currently do). But that’s okay, given that I’m halfway through my tour already and expect to be heading homeward around March 4th so at least I’m on the downhill side now.
A belated congrats to my sweetheart, SunSwan. She landed a job with ICBC! Three weeks vacation to start, 16 personal days per year and alot of benefits. Of course the drawback is she’s going to have to commute for 6 hours every day… but she’s cool with that.

Hey, congrats on the new job SS!
Rog, when you get back, you have to come out and play. Rock Band baby!
You got it? I’ll be there.
Thanks Sweetheart. Looks like only a 3 hour a day commute if I use transit!
That’s the spirit, hon. You’re a trooper!
Stop complaining I’ve done 11 hours for the year!
Congrats on the job, T!! (I take it your office is in N. Van?)
Hope your tour ends, and you get to go home on time, R.
I need to have you guys over to my old place before I move in 3 weeks! I’m going to have a going-away party at my old place
