Back in Misery

Posted by Rotorboy under: Work .

My week of recurrent training in Penticton was great. Very informative and always fun shootin autos (see the post below).

I went to Edmonton on Sunday for one day of recurrent training in the AStar. More stuck pedals, hydraulic failures, engine failures in the hover and autos. Again, more fun.

Drove up to Ft. McMurray (or as I call it, Ft. McMisery) on Tuesday. Flew a VP of an oil company and some other suits around for a few hours today. I was driving them to a local hotel and the VP said they enjoyed the trip so much that they wanted to invite me to dinner. I had to politely decline as I had to finish my paperwork and bag up my machine for the night. It was nice to be asked, however.

It sure was nippy today. The high today only tickled -27°C north of McMisery where I was today. It didn’t take too long standing around outside to get chilled. Definitely another layer tomorrow.
