Ahhhh, the holidays are over
Posted by Rotorboy under: Living it up .
I’m not implying that I didn’t enjoy the holidays. They were great… with a certain number of ‘unenjoyable’ moments, like the airplanes packed to capacity with screaming babies or living with Tracey’s sister’s 22 month old nephew for a week.
All-in-all the trip to Kenora was great. Tracey’s parents Ron and Bonnie are great people. We ate non-stop, we drank almost constantly and I even went snowmobiling with Ron around the lake.
I made a fun little time-lapse video of us all opening our presents. You’ll need Quicktime to view the video.
But make no mistake… I am glad it’s over. The hustle, the bustle, the stress… forget it for another 11 ½ months.
While we were in Kenora, I stopped by the Canadian Helicopters hanger to check out one of the S76s we have there on EMS contract.

One of the AMEs let us crawl around it and we chatted for around 40 minutes. It was clear Aaron and Tracey were starting to get bored with all the ‘helicopter’ talk.
Now I just have to wait to see how long I can hang out at home before having to go back to work.

did you know you would be standing in front of an orange helicopter when you chose your orange shirt to wear? cause if you did… that would be a little weird.
