It’s Busy Up Here

GCEC on Birch Mountain

I’m currently on a seismic job a fair bit north of Ft. Mac.  There are two machines and we ferry out pad cutters (guys with chainsaws to cut helipads).  During the day I take the job manager and fly him around scouting out different things and such.

It’s a good job with a fair bit of hours each day.  The only downside is that we’re going to have to start staying in camp beginning at the end of the week.

No internet, no cell phone, no real privacy.

Oh well, it’s only for a week and I’ll be going home.  Besides, I can’t knock the hours.  I can’t believe how busy it is up here… it should be quiet this time of year!

all those things are overrated anyway. except maybe privacy is nice. and the internet. i mean, thats probably the greatest thing invented in the past 100 years. can’t live without that.

but who needs a cell phone? i mean really? unless of course… you need to make a phone call. then they are pretty handy i guess.

Yeah Shnewt, all those things are overrated… except the internet. Am I ever glad Al Gore invented it. He’s cool.
