Hooking up the snowmobile

My day today was rather easy:

  • Fly an investor and investment banker around on an extended oilsands tour (i.e. fly them around the oilsands mines and plants in the area to see what their money is going).
  • Fly to a remote location 42 miles NE of Ft. McMurray and sling back a snowmobile that the crew was finished using. The photos were taken from the other helicopter who had the crew in it.

The weather was great today; all sunshine with a small breeze blowing and a high of -17°C, which is relatively ′nice′ compared to recent days.

Tomorrow I have to go back for the other snowmobile (it takes over 45 minutes to fly back to Ft. McMurray with a sling load) and then there is another job which I really have no idea what I’m doing.

So long as the weather holds, it’s all manageable.
