My two weeks off were a little shorter, only lasting 12 days. I can’t believe it’s already over. I feel like I’ve hardly been home at all.
I think, more accurately, that I’m just not looking forward to working in winter conditions. I really don’t dig working in winter: covering and uncovering the machine, everything is frozen cock-stiff, sitting and waiting in a cold helicopter. It sucks.
I called up to Ft. Mac this morning and they said it only started getting cold (really cold) today. Looks like it’s going to hang around for awhile too. Lucky me.
It’s not even supposed to be this cold this early in the season (-25°C today not factoring in the wind).
Crap.
Oh well, I’m trying to make the best of it. I’ve made a large pot of chili for dinner and I’ll be on an airplane tomorrow morning. Should be entertaining.
